Lofi live wallpapers for Mac

Warm desk lamps, a cat asleep by the window, rain outside a café. The lofi collection is made for study sessions and long work blocks: soft palettes, slow loops, and nothing that flashes. Pair one with your favourite beats playlist and MacWall's Music Sync.

How to set a Lofi live wallpaper on Mac

  1. Download MacWall and drag it to Applications. It runs on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs with macOS 15 or later.
  2. Pick any Lofi wallpaper above to preview the loop, its resolution, and its length.
  3. Choose Set on Mac. MacWall opens that wallpaper and applies it to your desktop, on one display or all of them.
  4. Optional: with Pro on macOS 26 (Tahoe) or later, use the same loop on your Lock Screen and as a Screen Saver.

Why Lofi wallpapers look better in MacWall

  • Real video, not a GIF: loops play at full frame rate and up to 4K, decoded on Apple's media engine instead of the CPU.
  • Battery-aware: playback pauses on battery, in full-screen apps, and when the display sleeps. See live wallpaper battery drain on Mac.
  • Every display: sync one loop across monitors or give each screen its own wallpaper.
  • One payment: try everything free for 24 hours; the full catalog then stays unlocked with a one-time $12.99 license, no subscription. See pricing.

Frequently asked questions

Can a lofi wallpaper react to my music?
MacWall's Music Sync adds album-art gradients from Apple Music and Spotify. The lofi loops themselves are silent videos, so your own music stays in charge.
How do I set a Lofi live wallpaper on my Mac?
Download MacWall, open any Lofi wallpaper on this page, and choose Set on Mac. The app opens that wallpaper and applies it to your desktop. You can also find it inside the app by searching for "Lofi".
How many Lofi wallpapers are there?
18 Lofi wallpapers are in the MacWall catalog right now, and the list updates automatically as the community publishes new loops.
Do Lofi live wallpapers work on MacBook Air and MacBook Pro?
Yes. MacWall runs on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs with macOS 15 or later, decodes video in hardware, and pauses automatically on battery and in full-screen apps.
