Effective:
MacWall Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy explains how you may use the MacWall app, website, catalog, and community submission features. It sits alongside our Terms of Service and DMCA Policy.
Allowed Use
- Install and use the App on Macs you control within your license limits.
- Browse and set catalog wallpapers as the App permits for personal or internal use.
- Import your own video files when you have the rights to use them.
- Submit wallpapers you created, or that you have permission or a license to share, through the App's upload flow. Every submission needs a rights declaration and is reviewed by a person before it is published.
Prohibited Use
- Probe, scrape, disrupt, or overload our systems or those of our vendors.
- Circumvent licensing, device limits, paywalls, or security controls.
- Download, extract, record for reuse or redistribute catalog wallpapers outside the App, use them commercially or to train AI models, or sell MacWall content as your own product.
- Upload or import content you do not have rights to use, including ripped films, games, TV, or trademarked brand assets without permission.
- Upload illegal, hateful, harassing, pornographic/NSFW, or malware content.
- Upload anything that sexualizes minors, depicts graphic violence, gore, self-harm or animal cruelty, or promotes terrorism, extremism or discrimination.
- Share other people's personal data without consent, or post content designed to deceive, phish or impersonate.
- Misrepresent who made a submission or where it came from, or give a false rights declaration.
- Share license keys beyond the Mac limit for your plan, or use stolen payment methods.
