MacWall installs no kernel extensions, no launch daemons, and no background installer. Removing it is a normal app removal plus one support folder if you also want the cached videos gone.
Remove the app
- Click the MacWall menu bar icon → Quit MacWall. Quitting restores your previous static desktop picture.
- Open Applications and move MacWall to the Trash.
- Empty the Trash.
Remove cached wallpapers and settings
- In Finder press Shift-Command-G and go to `~/Library/Application Support/`.
- Delete the MacWall folder — this is where downloaded and imported loops are cached.
- Go to `~/Library/Preferences/` and delete the MacWall `.plist` file to clear settings.
- Empty the Trash and restart if you want the wallpaper subsystem fully reset.
Your license after uninstalling
A Pro license belongs to you, not to the install. Keep the key: reinstalling and re-entering it restores Pro. If you are uninstalling to free an activation slot, deactivate in Settings → License before removing the app, or email support@macwall.app and we will release the seat.
